Hebrews 1

God’s Final Word in His Son

1 God, after He aspoke long ago to the fathers in bthe prophets in many portions and cin many ways, 2
Or at the end of these days
,
ein these last days fhas spoken to us
Or in the person of a Son; lit in Son
in His hSon, whom He appointed iheir of all things, jthrough whom He also made the
Lit ages
,
lworld.

Lit Who being
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact nrepresentation of His nature, and
Lit upholding
,
pupholds all things by
Or His word of power
the word of His power. When He had made rpurification of sins, He ssat down at the right hand of the tMajesty on high,
4having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent uname than they.

5 For to which of the angels did He ever say,

vYou are My Son,
Today I have fathered You”?
And again,

wI will be a Father to Him
And He will be a Son to Me”?
6 And
Or again when He brings
when He again ybrings the firstborn into
Lit the inhabited earth
,
aathe world, He says,

abAnd let all the angels of God worship Him.”
7 And regarding the angels He says,

acHe makes His angels winds,
And His ministers a flame of fire.”
8 But regarding the Son He says,

adYour throne, God, is forever and ever,
And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of
Late mss Your
His kingdom.
9afYou have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
agTherefore God, Your God, has ahanointed You
With the oil of joy above Your companions.”
10 And,

aiYou, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
11 ajThey will perish, but You remain;
akAnd they all will
Or become old
wear out like a garment,
12 amAnd like a robe You will roll them up;
Like a garment they will also be changed.
But You are anthe same,
And Your years will not come to an end.”
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said,

aoSit at My right hand,
apUntil I make Your enemies
A footstool for Your feet”?
14 Are they not all aqministering spirits, sent out to provide service for the sake of those who will arinherit assalvation?
